Specification Templates

We offer downloadable templates for writing a new build home specification, presented in Word document format for easy editing and updating.

We offer different versions for different purposes. The Detailed Specification is a full and exhaustive specification which covers every aspect of your new home, from the ridge caps on the roof to the foundations, and comes in at more than 130 pages. The Abridged Specification is a condensed alternative, and goes into less detail, but is still perfectly adequate for an average self-build home.

The Building Regulations Accompanying Notes are aimed specifically at the requirements of a Building Regulations Full Plans Application. These are intended to be submitted to your local Building Control department along with our Building Regulations Drawings packs to supplement the information shown on the drawings.

Samples of all of these specification documents are available for download, so you can try before you buy. All samples are provided in PDF format, but all full specification documents are in Word format for easy editing.
