It’s been a busy first week back for us at Houseplansdirect. Work has been completed for clients in locations as diverse as rural Hertfordshire, even more rural Scotland, and suburban Nottinghamshire. And one of our designs is being exported to Lithuania!
First, the modern chalet bungalow in our picture
We have been working with these clients for more than two years now, as the strive to build a replacement home on their plot. After several attempts to appease the local planners, approval was obtained late last year, and now we have prepared the Building Regulations application. Our colleagues at PorthouseDean undertook the necessary structural design, owing to some huge glazed sections at the rear, and now it’s all but ready to go off to Building Control!
Scottish clients delighted with contemporary bungalow
We also completed and received sign-off on a fantastic contemporary bungalow for clients in Scotland. This will be the subject of a future blog post as the images are needed to do it justice! But think larch cladding, corrugated steel roof and big windows, and you won’t be far off…
Anyone built in Lithuania?
It’s always nice to get the next few jobs lined up after the Christmas break, and this week has been no exception. There’s generally a huge rush to get plans together and applications submitted in time for Spring. One client who signed up this week intends to build our Longworth design in Lithuania, which is a first! Again, this is a topic that needs its own spotlight I feel, so we’ll aim to come back to this in more detail in the future.
YouTube channel finally getting some love
We’ve had a YouTube channel since 2014, but to be honest it hasn’t received the attention it deserved. But no more! We now have the first batch of what will be many ‘fly-by’ videos of our designs uploaded. These allow you to see the design in the full 360 degrees, and can also be found on the product pages of the relevant designs. Let us know what you think on our YouTube channel!
